𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗜𝗠𝗠𝗘𝗗𝗜𝗔𝗧𝗘 𝗥𝗘𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗦𝗘
𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗲: August 14, 2025
Dallas Township, PA — On August 14, 2025, at approximately 10:58 a.m., Dallas Township Police were dispatched to a residence on Lake Street for a reported domestic incident.
The initial investigation determined that a female suspect had allegedly assaulted a male victim the previous night. After the victim was able to leave the residence, he contacted police. He was transported to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries.
The female barricaded herself inside the residence. Officers attempted to make contact and negotiate with her, but she refused to exit. As a precaution, Lake Street was closed between College Manor and Elmcrest, and the Pennsylvania State Police Special Emergency Response Team (PSP SERT) was requested to assist.
After negotiations were unsuccessful, the PSP SERT Team entered the residence and took the female into custody without further incident. Charges are pending.
Lake Street was reopened to traffic at approximately 4:45 p.m. Officers remain on scene processing evidence.
Special thanks to Back Mountain Regional Fire and EMS, Kunkle Fire Co., Pennsylvania State Police SERT, PennDOT and the Dallas Township Road Department for their assistance during this incident.
Tonight, members from Back Mountain Regional Shavertown and Sweet Valley met at Eli’s towing and worked on a series of vehicle rescue exercises.

Around 7pm on 8/10/25 Back Mountain Regional Fire, Kunkle Fire, Shavertown and Trucksville Fire responded to the area of 12 Westminster Road in Dallas Twp. for the reported vehicle on fire
121 Engine arrived on scene first and deployed their bumper line. Shavertown Truck and Engine arrived next and assisted with fire attack and extinguishment. All other units were stood down. No injuries were reported.
Back Mountain Regional Fire & EMS, Dallas PA thank you for responding so quickly. This happened in front of our house. We were away on vacation and appreciate the quick response.

A residential structure box was transmitted tonight In Dallas Township. Upon the arrival of Chief Three & 121 rescue, the box was held to Regional and Shavertown. Units operated for approximately one hour. Great job by all the volunteers who responded.

I woke up to smoke against my foundation yesterday morning. The mulch was hot, and the masonry was scorching. I raked away from the house to determine it wasn't the landscape wires..after flipping off circuit breakers... no electric involvement, so hosed down all of the mulch! Upon some research I found that mulch is highly flammable. I assume our little event..that could have turned ugly..was either an errant cigarette or firework "ash". We really need to stay aware of our surroundings and what can happen.

At approximately 10 AM this morning Back Mountain Regional Fire & EMS was alerted to a residential structure fire on Main Street in Dallas Boro. Upon arrival, heavy fire was noted and units from Back Mountain Regional, Kunkle, Shavertown, Trucksville, Northmoreland and Idetown worked to extinguish the fire

Good reminder to ensure your CO Alarms are active. Mild exposure to CO can cause symptoms like nausea, dizziness, or headaches. More severe poisoning can lead to brain or heart damage or even death. Symptoms are often described as "flu-like"

Tanker 1 just got back from an early morning brush fire. Please remember to avoid burning outside at all costs. Conditions are ripe for fire to spread quickly.

Today, the Dallas Kiwanis held a Halloween Party & Parade for children at Regional Station 1. Prizes were awarded to the best costumes, music was provided by Charlie Hayes, and Brace’s Apple Cider was served. In addition to setup and tear down, volunteers also handled 2 calls for service today; one a Ricketts Glen rescue and an MVA in Lehman Twp.

At around 7am this morning, Back Mountain Regional Fire & EMS were dispatched to Old 115 in Lehman Township for a tractor trailer vs car accident. After receiving an update on the severity of the situation, command requested additional resources. Volunteers from Regional Rescue 1&2, Jackson Township Fire, Trucksville Rescue, Regional M30, and Kunkle M33 responded to the incident. Great job to all who responded.
Regional Engine 1 responded to a small mulch fire in the borough, which was ignited by a cigarette butt. This serves as a reminder to refrain from flicking cigarette butts out of car windows.
